I love the Corelle brand! We bought our first set (different design) in 2009 and they never broke or chipped even when we dropped them from counter height on tile on accident. After 12 years the plates had a few scratches from silverware so we just purchased this design. The blue color and pattern is great but when you look up close it looks a little digitally or printed. So while they are pretty, not super fancy for dinner parties.I was looking for a couple of replacements because they do not last forever. But everyone likes to use them for snacks, cereal, ice cream, soup, etc. And they stack together so well.A little more expensive than I remember.Different shades of blue on plates and the patterned area ‘feels’ odd. Am keeping and I really like them, just a weird observation.These dishes are beautiful. I absolutely love Corelle. So lightweight as well as beautiful patterns & colors. Plan on ordering more as time goes by; I would not use any other dishes except Corelle.I was looking for just a few Corelle plates for my home and these are perfect.I like them because they are a solid weigh.Within a few days of receiving the plates one chipped on the rim and another 2 have lines of paint being rubbed off. I have a set of Corelle that I purchased 32 years ago and there is not one chip or paint rubbed off. I was really disappointed. While it is still usable, I doubt I would purchase more Corelle if this is what the newer pieces are like.There is no way this is a 21oz bowl. Thats why i ordered them. The bowls in the Lia corelle set i have are too small. I wanted a bigger bowl with a blue rim and these are the same as are in the set. Very dissappointed.
